A big day today, off to do the kayaking in la Seu! After breakfast we got ready and onto the bus which took us to el Parc del Segre where we donned our lifejackets and went to learn how to go in the kayaks. The monitor was great and he congratulated us on how polite and well-behaved the children were. They went in groups of three, the smaller ones went in with the monitors and the others on their own. It was really good fun and hard work. First they went all the way up the channel and then they played a game where they had to put all the kayaks together and then change places. At the end they trid to see how many people could get into just one kayak which ended with a few of them in the water!!
We had picnic lunch in the park and then back onto the bus to come 'home.'
In the afternoon we startd the T-shirt painting and then they went off to do more games. The first game was a treasure hunt all around the grounds and then inside to play human hungry hippos on skateboards, everyone loved that one!!
If that wasn't enough, then on to balloon rocket experiments and then we prepared the tents for camping out. We were a bit worried about the weather so we put the tents right next to the front door just in case! In the end it was a clear night so they were able to sleep out the whole night.
